Climate Generation is based in Mni Sóta Maḳoce on the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary occupied Lands of Dakota people, near the banks of the Wakpa Tanka. Despite the efforts of the United States government to forcefully remove the Dakota People and dishonor the Treaty of Traverse des Sioux in 1851, the Dakota have stewarded this land for thousands of years and continue to.
Climate Generation’s office is located in the Greenway building.
By design and location, the Greenway building is truly green, featuring LEED design, a rooftop solar array, geothermal heating and cooling, a green roof, and more. Climate Generation moved into the building in Fall 2006, completing the search for a work environment that matched our values alongside other nonprofit and environmental partners.
